Blue Mountain Nordic Club maintains the Meacham Divide XC Ski area (see trail conditions page) within the Umatilla National Forest. The club is supported by members, with all membership dues going toward Meacham Divide grooming and groomer upkeep. Your support helps us keep the trails groomed for as long as the snow lasts! Please consider becoming a member of BMNC by setting up or renewing your membership in one of two ways:  Using our online form that accepts online payments, or download and mail in the membership form.  Or you can make a donation to BMNC using our online donation form.

Meacham Divide Nordic Area Condiltions

Meacham Divide is one of the largest Nordic ski areas in Oregon, offering 20 kilometers of groomed trails, with varying levels of difficulty. At 4,100 feet in elevation and views of the 1,400-foot deep Meacham Canyon and Spout Springs Ridgeline, Meacham Divide has some great skiing and snowshoeing alongside some breathtaking views. Dogs are welcome on designated trails.

Please see the Meacham Divide Conditions page for the latest ski conditions. Visit TripCheck.com to view road cam pictures — the amount of roadside snow at Blue Mountain Summit is a good predictor of how much snow is at Meacham Divide. If you have a condition report, please email us at meachamdivide@gmail.com

Meacham Divide Nordic area is accessed from Summit Road exit 243 on I-84 (travel 18 miles west from La Grande, OR, or 34 miles east from Pendleton, OR). At the exit, travel 1.7 miles northeast on Forest Service Road 31. All wheel drive vehicle is generally required. A snopark pass is required. Recommended donation: $7.00 per person (you can pay using the BMNC online form).

Regional Nordic Equipment Lending Library (spreadsheet) — Do you have nordic ski equipment  that you’d be willing to loan to others for a day or a weekend?  Do you or your kids want to ski but don’t have all of the gear that you need?  Well, here’s a brand new idea that just might help.  This Google sheet is being sent out to all club members as well as non-members, and the idea is to see if we can put together a regional “library” that will help get people what they need to go skiing. You might want to bookmark this link and regularly check the inventory as it grows.
