SUMMARY:SONC Holiday Outing
DESCRIPTION:What: Postponed Holiday Outing\nWhere: Pederson Snow Park\nWhen:  10:00am February 15th (9am carpool see below)\n\nUpdate 2/14/26:\n\nSnow conditions are not good at Pederson Snow Park\, but there is a possibility of driving a short distance to a road off of Clover Creek Road. For those that want to\, that is a possibility for skiing. The other option is to hike to Brown Mountain shelter with only the need for hiking boots.\n\nThe group is still leaving from Ashland CVS by 9:00am with plans to meet at Pederson Snow Park at 10:00am on Sunday.\n\n\nDue to snow conditions the Holiday Outing meeting spot is the Pederson Snow Park. Milepost 27 on Dead Indian Memorial Road–please be there at 10am.\n\nAll are invited.  Each outing will be 2 to 3 hours. For both outings the plan is to stay on the south side of the road.\n\nWe will be leaving from CVS Ashland parking lot by 9:00am for those in need of a carpool. \n\nPlan to bring snacks and drink for the outing and make sure your skis are waxed since there is snow forecast for Saturday and Sunday.\n\nThe group will meet at Northwest Pizza\, 1585 Siskiyou Blvd.\, Ashland after the outing. DESCRIPTION:When: 7:00 pm\, Tuesday\nWhere: Talent Library\, 101 Home St\, Talent\, OR\nThe  general meeting for December is this Tuesday\, December 9th. Come down for fellowship\, learning and refreshments!  \n\nWith the popularity of AT skiing we are happy to have Bryant Helgeland of Mountain Provisions. He will be speaking on gear and services offered at their store\, so come with questions and get ready for some education from an experienced outdoorsman. In case you haven’t been in the area long or are thinking of trying out something new there will also be a short talk on a local winter trail. \n\nThere will be refreshments at intermission\, a free raffle–win a season snow park permit or winter trail map!–and an opportunity to visit with fellow skiers.\n\nAt the meeting you can display used ski gear or clothing that you no longer have a use for. There will be a table set up for this purpose. DESCRIPTION:The first SONC general meeting of the 2025 – 2026 season will be Tuesday\, November 18th at 7 pm\, Talent Library\, 101 Home St\, Talent\, OR.   Depending on availability of the Talent Library\, we  hope to get the third Tuesday of each month for the rest of the season.   \n\nMembership dues are now $25 per household for the 2025 – 2026 season.  We would like to receive dues by the end of December.  You can pay by cash or check at the potluck\, pay via Paypal on the club website onc.org/sonc\, mail a check to Linda Harris (see website for the address)\, or bring cash or check to the November or December general meeting.
