Preparing for the Unexpected Outdoor Emergency

Are you prepared for an outdoor accident or emergency?  Can you safely spend a night out with what you have in your daypack?  Join us at our December 5th SONC General Meeting to learn from Dave Brennan, a retired National Park Service Ranger, on what you can do to prepare for outdoor emergencies.  This program will help you anticipate and prepare for the unexpected.  You will be able to more confidently adventure in the outdoors knowing that you have increased your knowledge and have better prepared yourself to face a variety of situations.

Dave worked as a NPS Ranger for 28 years, dealing with the full spectrum of human behavior and misadventure.  A student of the art of emergency preparedness (but not a master), with a passion for human powered recreation in wild areas–the goal is to come back from trips with tales of adventure, not tragedy.
